Nursing Program Accreditation
The UH Manoa School of Nursing & Dental Hygiene (SONDH) baccalaureate and master’s nursing programs are accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE). CCNE granted accreditation to SONDH in 2001 for a 10-year term, with the next review scheduled in October 2010.
Prior to 2010, SONDH baccalaureate and master’s nursing programs were also accredited by the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC). NLNAC accreditation was in effect for the baccalaureate program from 1956 - 2009 and the master’s program from 1967 - 2009. NLNAC was the sole accrediting agency for nursing programs until 1998 when CCNE began accrediting operations for nursing education programs as recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education.
