Application Deadlines
Fall applications: February 1
Spring applications: September 1
Above deadlines are receipt deadlines. All application materials must be received by the School of Nursing & Dental Hygiene Office of Student Services, Webster 201 by close of stated deadline. This includes UH System Application (if applicable as stated below) and all other required documents. The Office of Admissions & Records will not be held responsible for applications that are not complete and forwarded to us by the specified deadline. It is the responsibility of each applicant to submit their application in a timely fashion and follow up with the appropriate office. We suggest submission of your UH System Application 4-6 weeks prior to the deadline.
1. Admissible to UH Manoa or currently enrolled in an undergraduate degree granting program. For more information, visit the UH Manoa Office of Admissions & Records. It is recommended this UH System Application be submitted 4-6 weeks in advannce of the specified deadlines.

2. Submission of the BSN Application.

3. Cumulative grade point average (gpa) of 2.5 or better at the time of application submission, to include any transferable coursework.
4. Passing entrance exam scores. Satisfactory passing scores is as follows:
- NLN (National League for Nursing Preadmission Exam)-50%ile in "All" column of Norm scores
5. Satisfactory completion of 16+ prerequisite credits below to include 1 PHYL lecture/lab, and 1 other science lecture course. All remaining prerequisite coursework must be in progress at the time of application:
1- *FW course (i.e. ENG 100)
1- *FS course (i.e. MATH 100)
1- *FG course (i.e. HIST 151)
2- *DS courses (i.e. PSY 100 & FAMR 230)
1- *DP course (i.e. CHEM 152)
1- General Elective (i.e. *DA/DH/DL or CHEM 151)

- Transfer coursework is subject to articulation/evaluation by the Office of Admissions & Records; 808.956.8975. To check course equivalencies from institutions other than UH Manoa, visit UH Manoa Admissions & Records "Transfer Credit Search";
- Prerequisite coursework must be equivalent/completed with a C grade (not C-) or higher;
- Repeating courses for a higher grade is allowed up to 6 credits. The last grade (not highest grade) is used in the application evaluation process;
- Second Bachelor Degree candidates are subject to meeting the same Admission, Program, and Graduation Requirements as all other first-degree seeking students.
Admission into the UH Manoa Department of Nursing is highly competitive. Meeting minimum requirements does not guarantee admission to the program. Preemptive military admission requests (i.e. AMEDD Enlisted Commissioning Program) are not granted.
