Dr. Vogler (Joyce) received her BSN and MSN (maternal child/education) degrees at Loma Linda University School of Nursing in Loma Linda, California. Subsequently, she earned her Doctorate in Public Health at the University of Hawaii, where she also earned a Post Masters certificate in psychiatric mental health. She has been actively involved in maternal-newborn nursing for over 20 years and psychiatric mental health nursing for 7 years. She has been a practitioner in alternative health for over a decade. Her research interests include breast-feeding support, workplace health, and alternative therapies. She has served as a director of nursing, a staff nurse, an advanced practice nurse and a member of various professional organizations as well as a volunteer in the community.
