Tuition and Fees
The pre-licensure year is a trimester format, with each semester being composed of approximately 18 credits.
The next MEPN cohort will enter in Fall 2009. Students will take courses via Outreach College. The per credit tuition rates through Spring 2010 will be $589 per credit for residents and $1112 per credit for non-residents* (See Residency information below) These costs do not include fees, the cost of books, expenses related to housing, etc.The Outreach College does not accept tuition waivers (e.g. faculty/staff or spouse waivers). Potential students are encouraged to begin to investigate financial aid opportunities available to graduate students, most likely student loans.
The pre-licensure year is an intensive full time experience. The final two years of the program can be individually paced and part time study is an option.

*RESIDENCY INFORMATION
“Students who do not qualify as bona fide residents of the State of Hawai‘i, according to the University of Hawai‘i rules and regulations in effect at the time they register, must pay the nonresident tuition. An official determination of residency status will be made prior to enrollment. Prospective students may be required to provide documents to verify residency status. Once classified as a nonresident, a student continues to be so classified during his/her term at the University until he/she can present clear and convincing evidence to the residency officer that proves otherwise.”
