NP Clinical Log Information

Students enter clinical patient encounters via the web using TyphonGroup's electronic patient encounter log system. All NP students are expected to use this system to enter clinical encounters. The information entered in TyphonGroup will be used to determine if you have met the nursing schools requirement for your advanced practice clinical.

The TyphonGroup program can also be downloaded to a PDA. This will allow you to enter client information on your PDA and at a later time upload the data to the web. TyphonGroup is compatible with ANY PDA operating system (Palm OS and Microsoft Windows Mobile). The device must have at least 8MB of memory and at least 2MB of free memory space.

Starting Spring 2006 PNP students will use this service free of charge their fee waived due to federal funding. PNP students will also recieve a PDA to borrow for use with TyphonGroup. Student's other than PNP that is FNP, ANP, and GNP students will need to pay a $15 one time fee and provide their own PDA to imput client data. Please contact your instructor if you would like to use the PDA option for TyphonGroup.
