The Department of Nursing’s undergraduate program provides two options: a) the bachelor of science degree pathway which admits students following completion of a minimum of 34 credit hours of general education and nursing prerequisite courses in the Colleges of Arts and Sciences, and b) the RN to BS pathway which allows entry after the completion of the AS degree or diploma program in nursing.
The master of science (MS) in nursing degree program prepares the student for advanced practice role as nurse practitioners in family, adult, gerontology, and child health; clinical nurse specialist role in psychiatric-mental health, adult, and community/public health; nursing education; and in nursing administration or nursing administration/MBA. A post-master's certificate program and master's entry program in nursing are also available.
