Quentin Burdick Rural Health Program

Students

Students must be currently enrolled in one of the participating schools or departments at the University of Hawaii-Manoa. They represent a wide variety of disciplines including Medicine, Nursing, Dental Hygiene, Social Work, Psychology, Public Health, Education, Medical Technology, Speech-Language/Audiology, Nutrition and Speech.

Students are required to attend two spring seminars and participate in a spring site visit as well as a five-week rural on-site practicum druing the summer. Teams write a paper, create a poster session and oral presentation detailing their summer practicum experience. For more details regarding program activities, please see our Activities page.

The program is intensive and rewarding and provides lessons and memories that are not soon forgotten.
