Previously she has worked in a variety of mental health and primary care settings including inpatient facilities, residential homes, and outpatient clinics.
Her previous research experience includes pharmaceutical research focused on psychiatric diseases across the lifespan, specifically treatments for Attention Deficit-Hyperactivity Disorder and Depression. She has also done strength-based research, examining how factors like mentoring and ethnic identity relate to outcomes such as mental health and school violence.
Her current research interest is in the prevention of and early intervention for mental health challenges.
