Ms. Stephanie Marshall is Director for Community Partnerships for the School of Nursing and Dental Hygiene at the University of Hawai‘i at Manoa and is responsible to develop and manage innovative strategic educational and practice efforts with external constituent groups to include health care systems, long-term care organizations, government entities and community health settings in both the public and private sectors.

She is a retired Colonel after a distinguished military career of thirty- two years.  Prior to joining the School in April 2006, Colonel Marshall last served as Chief Nurse Executive and Deputy Commander for Nursing, Tripler Army Medical Center from 2001 – 2005. 

Colonel Stephanie Marshall was born in Bradford, Pennsylvania and received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 1975 from Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.  She received a Master of Science in Nursing from the University of California, San Francisco with a specialty in Oncology Nursing in 1985.  Colonel Marshall is a 1998 U.S. Army War College graduate and a 2001 graduate of the Wharton Fellows Program in Management for Nurse Executives in Health Care Management.

She is a member of the American Organization of Nurse Executives, Oncology Nursing Society, Sigma Theta Tau, and American College of Health Executives. Her recognition and honors include selection as Mana’olana, the State of Hawaii’s Oncology Nurse of the Year in 1982 and recipient of the Anita Newcomb McGee Award as the Outstanding Army Nurse of the Year in 1997.  Her numerous military awards include the Humanitarian Service Medal, Army Achievement Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Meritorious Service  Medal, Legion of  Merit and a member of the Order of Military Medical Merit.
